This document is compatible with the below GPS/GNSS receivers:
After configuring your u-blox GNSS receiver to function as a “Windows Location Sensor” device, the default “USB Serial Device” option will no longer be accessible. If you wish to revert your GNSS receiver to being recognized as a “USB Serial Device,” please refer to the following instructions.
- Open “Device Manager” and navigate to “Sensors.”; Right-click on “u-blox Universal GNSS” and choose “Properties.”; In the “Driver” tab, click on the “Uninstall Device” button.

2. Tick the “Delete the driver software for this device” option and click on the “Uninstall” button.

3. To confirm if the uninstallation was successful, right-click on your computer in “Device Manager” and choose “Scan for hardware changes.”

4. If the uninstallation was successful, you will no longer see the “u-blox Universal GNSS” sensor. Instead, a new “USB Serial Device (COMxx)” will appear as shown below.
