Announces the V-2000 GNSS Data Logger
Quote from GPSWebShop Official on February 7, 2026, 11:38 amA Next-Generation Successor to the i-gotU GT-120B / GT-600B
The Columbus V-2000, a compact, waterproof GNSS data logger developed as a direct successor to the discontinued i-gotU GT-120B and GT-600B.
In 2024, Mobile Action ceased operations, ending production of the GT-120B and GT-600B. Since then, the market has lacked a small-form-factor, waterproof GNSS data logger, leaving professional users with limited alternatives. To address this gap, Columbus GPS began development of a replacement solution in 2025, culminating in the V-2000.
Major Advancements
The Columbus V-2000 delivers substantial improvements over previous generations:
Enhanced positioning accuracy (~1 m vs. 5–8 m)
Smaller, lighter design
Improved waterproof rating
Optimized battery design with extended logging runtime
Expanded onboard memory
Integrated motion sensor
Full multi-constellation GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou)
USB-C interface (replacing Micro-USB)
Standard CSV data output (eliminating proprietary file formats)
Engineering Commitment
Delivering these capabilities in a compact, rugged form factor presented significant engineering challenges. The Columbus engineering team spent more than a year refining the design, optimizing numerous technical details, and carefully selecting upstream components. This resulted in a longer development cycle and substantially higher R&D investment compared to typical products in this category.
As a result, the originally projected release timeline of February 2026 was delayed.
Statement
We sincerely apologize for the delay and greatly appreciate the patience and continued support of our customers. Based on current development progress, the updated estimated delivery timeframe is March 2026.
Please note that this timeline is an estimate rather than a guarantee, and further adjustments may be necessary. However, at this stage, we believe a March 2026 release remains highly achievable.

Quote from GPSWebShop Official on September 30, 2026, 8:51 pmV-2000 Is Finally Here — Officially Released!
After a long development journey, we’re very excited to announce that the Columbus V-2000 Nano GNSS Motion Data Logger is now officially released and available to order!
You can purchase the V-2000 from either of our websites:

V-2000 on CanadaGPSOur first production batch of 130 units is already on its way from the factory to our Canadian warehouse.
Order now — first come, first served. We expect to begin shipping orders between October 9–14, 2026.
Current production capacity is expected to exceed 100 units per week, with production ramping up significantly over the coming weeks. We expect supply to catch up with market demand within approximately 1–2 months.
The V-2000 has been an unusually challenging product to develop. Many aspects of its size, weight, power consumption, battery life, waterproofing and overall performance pushed the limits of what could be achieved within such a compact device. As a result, its development cycle took roughly four times longer than a typical product in this category.
A huge thank-you to the entire R&D and manufacturing team for overcoming one technical challenge after another and bringing the V-2000 from concept to production, while still keeping the final product at a very accessible price.
And most importantly, thank you to everyone who has followed the V-2000, provided feedback, and patiently waited for its release.
It’s finally here. We hope the V-2000 will be worth the wait!
