GR-8018 RS-232 Output and IMU/UDR Data Availability

Customer's question:

Could you please provide a sample RS-232 output log from the GR-8018?

We would like to review the available message output and confirm which data fields are included. At minimum, our positional tracking system requires the $GPGGA and $GPRMC NMEA sentences, as well as any available IMU-related data from the receiver.

Could you also confirm whether the IMU/UDR data is output over RS-232 by default, or whether any configuration is required to enable those messages?

Please find attached the GR-8018 message log, which includes NMEA packets such as GGA, RMC, etc., in ASCII format, as well as binary-based IMU data.

You can use the NaviViewerM9V software to play back the log messages for a better understanding. The software and quick guide can be downloaded from our product page:
