Upgraded P-7 Pro Antenna (effective March 26, 2026):
Quote from GPSWebShop Official on March 28, 2026, 9:44 amStarting with the latest batch of P-7 Pro units from March 26, 2026 onward, the antenna has been upgraded.
The new antenna has identical electrical specifications to the previous version, including power consumption, gain, impedance, and electromagnetic compatibility. In other words, both antennas provide the same positioning accuracy.
The improvements in the new antenna are as follows:
The housing/encapsulation has been improved, increasing the waterproof rating from IP66 to IP67. This is designed to handle scenarios where the antenna may be fully covered by ice and snow during winter. When the ice and snow melt, the antenna may become fully submerged in water, and the new design offers better protection and reduces the risk of damage.
The mounting method has been upgraded from magnet-only to a combination of 3M adhesive backing and magnet. This allows installation on both non-magnetic surfaces and vehicle roofs. When used on magnetic surfaces, there is no need to remove the adhesive liner—simply attach it using the magnet.
The new antenna has a more compact form factor and is slightly lighter in weight.
The antenna on the left is the previous version, and the one on the right is the new version.
